The Night of Korea Awakens
Here, where I stand still,
becomes my rest;
when a fan brushes past once,
the worldly worries scatter like wind.
Yeon:Nok (Yeon:Nok)
is a story of one night that began with a fan,
in the hands of the finest artists of Joseon.
When the fan is struck, sound arises,
a place where performance (演) blossoms;
when the fan is opened and wind stirs,
a marketplace (場) is formed where culture flows;
when the fan is held and artistic leisure is shared,
it becomes a bond (緣) where people connect.
Three places, layered into one night,
in the moment you lay down a cushion
and open your fan
this night finally becomes Yeon:Nok.
When the fan is struck, sound arises,
and the entire traditional space becomes one performance hall.
Pansori fills the space,
and the dancers' movements flow on the breeze of the fan.
The performance is not on a stage.
The very seat where you sit becomes part of the hall.
Holding a glass of makgeolli at a traditional liquor booth,
tasting dasik and hangwa,
and hearing the stories of craftspeople directly.
Not just looking, but touching, drinking, and conversing.
The market is not merely a place of sales,
but a living 場 (Jang) where Korean culture flows.
When the fan is opened and wind stirs,
the Yeonnok Grand Contest begins.
Through the five games of 文 (Mun)·武 (Mu)·歌 (Ga)·舞 (Mu)·樂 (Ak),
reinterpreted in a modern way,
people meeting for the first time become one, compete, laugh,
and share a drink together.
When the games end,
everyone holds a fan and dances to the janggu's sound.
The Fan 緣 (Yeon) unfolds to honor the close of this dreamlike night,
and with lively dance, lingering regret and wistfulness are cast off,
and you look forward to the next Yeon:Nok.

A game where teams of 5 relay to claim the most cushion area in 30 seconds
Tug of war while maintaining balance on cushions. Men get a one-hand handicap; 3 wins required
Hold a fan pose while standing on one leg. Decided by total time
Follow a sequence of fan movements. Judged on accuracy and grace
Sit on a cushion to the music. Judged on speed, grace, and creativity

A. Yeon:Nok is a special night event that reinterprets traditional Korean culture in a modern way. Various programs are prepared, including performances, games, traditional liquor tasting, and fan experiences.
A. It is a team competition inspired by the civil service examinations of the Joseon era. Teams compete in 5 categories: 文·武·歌·舞·樂, and the winning team receives premium prizes.
A. Wearing hanbok is not required, but we recommend it for a more special experience. Hanbok rental service (at an additional cost) is also available on site.
A. Yes, of course! Traditional teas and beverages are also available, and you can fully enjoy the performances and games alone.
A. Full refunds are available up to 2 weeks before the event, 50% refunds up to 1 week before, and no refunds after that. However, individual consultation is possible for special circumstances.
A. Parking is available at public lots near the venue, but we recommend using public transportation. Detailed transportation information will be provided after ticket booking.

부채를 쥐고 풍류 나누면,
인연(緣)이 되어 사람이 닿는 자리입니다.
세 자리, 한 밤에 포개어
당신이 방석을 깔고
부채를 여는 그 순간
이 밤은 비로소 연녹이 됩니다.
부채를 치면 소리가 나,
전통공간 전체가 하나의 공연장이 됩니다.
판소리 소리가 공간을 가득 채우고,
무용수의 춤사위는 부채의 바람을 타고 흐릅니다.
그 공연은 무대 위에 있지 않습니다.

함께 술잔을 기울입니다.
놀이가 끝나고 나면,
모두가 부채를 들고 장구 소리에 맞춰 춤을 춥니다.
그렇게 꿈같던 하룻밤의 마무리를
기리는 부채緣(연)이 펼쳐지고,
미련과 아쉬움을 흥겨운 춤사위로 떨쳐내며,
다음 연녹으로 기다리게 됩니다.
